Step 1: Create your account.

This is the first step — and in many ways, the most important step — to participate in the Slurpee FREEZE THE MOMENT contest. Simply go to the register page, and enter your personal information. You know, like your shoe size and stuff.

Step 2: Create your Slurpee Frozen Moment video.

What’s a Slurpee Frozen Moment? Well, essentially it’s that moment the Slurpee hits your mouth. That moment when everything seems just so — when you’re living in the now, in the moment, if you will. Life around you continues on, however. It’s as though time stands still while you savour that Slurpee. Your video cannot be longer than two minutes. To ensure your video is eligible to win, you might want to check out the contest rules.

Step 3: Upload your video.

Once you’ve created your video, you need to upload it. There is no limit to how many different videos you can upload, but if you upload over 300 of them, we may get worried. Just ensure your videos are submitted in the right format, and adhere to the contest rules. The deadline for entries is August 15, 2010.

Step 4: Promote your video.

Once your video is submitted, it’s time for you to get it out there in the wild. Send it to family, friends — even acquaintances — and watch your views rise. Number of views will be taken into account along with originality, creativity, and of course, the connection you make to the Slurpee brand. No need for logos of any kind.  For more tips on how to promote your video, see our contest tips.

Step 5: Monitor your submission.

Make sure to keep a keen eye on your submitted videos. Usually, more views means a better video, and a better video could mean a grand prize of $5,000, a year’s supply of free Slurpee drinks, and the opportunity to have your winning video featured in a 7-Eleven Slurpee TV commercial. Yep, potential stardom awaits. (There will also be weekly and daily prizes throughout the contest period.)  Learn more about the contest prizes
